Working out is great. Everybody wants to look and feel fit. It's a great feeling to lose a few pounds and look at yourself in the mirror. It's also a great feeling to walk into a room and get a little bit more recognition than you usually get. This is one of the best feelings you can get as an adult.

Of course, there are plenty of ways to do this. Diet is one. You can change the foods you eat, and slowly see some changes every time you look in the mirror. Another way is exercise. This way, you don't have to worry so much about what you eat. Exercise can take care of it. But if you train too much, there can be plenty of dangers. One thing that people suffer from is muscle tears from using weights that are too heavy. Sure, it might feel good to up your ability at the gym, but if you are straining too much, you might hurt yourself. If you can't do ten reps without grunting and groaning, then it's probably too much weight. Lessen the weight a little bit, and increase your reps. This can help build fat and increase your muscle definition. No reason to tear your muscles in order to get into shape.

Running is a great exercise to help you to get into shape fairly quickly. However, there are plenty of dangers from running. If you too far, you can easily overheat. This can lead to plenty of health complications. So when starting on any running program, take it slow.

If you don't eat properly, you will not get the energy you need from the right sources while exercising. For example, if you are starving yourself while hitting the gym, you may actually be burning up your own muscles. This isn't good.

If it's really hot outside, think twice about going for that five mile run. While you may be young and in good shape, this won't save you from getting heat stroke, from which many people die from every year. Be careful, and don't overdo it.

If you're injured, you need rest. No matter how badly you want to work out, doing so while injured will only make the problem worse.

So you see, there are plenty of dangers from working out too much. Just take your time, ease into it, and you'll be in great shape in no time.
